Arsenal take on Norwich at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Premier League, as the visitors desperately seek a win in the fight to preserve their Premier League status.

Arsenal drew 0-0 at Sunderland last time out in the Premier League, despite having a host of chances. Former-Gunners ‘keeper Vito Mannone was on top form, as the Italian pulled-off a string of saves to keep his former-club at bay.

The draw leaves Arsene Wenger’s side with some work to do in securing a Champions League place for next season. The Gunners are currently fourth and five points ahead of fifth-place Manchester United, but the Red Devils have a game in-hand.

Norwich did not play at the weekend, but last time out the Canaries suffered a poor 3-0 home defeat against relegation-rivals Sunderland. Fabio Borini, Jermain Defoe and Duncan Watmore scored the goals that consigned the side from Norfolk to defeat.

The Canaries dropped into the relegation courtesy of Sunderland drawing with Arsenal on Sunday. Alex Neil’s side are only in the drop zone on goal difference, but this game is unlikely to yield them much in terms of points.

Team Selection And News

Arsenal were boosted by the return from injury from the bench of Jack Wilshere last time out and he is likely to start on the bench once again in this clash.

Fellow midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains sidelined through injury, but Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla are both back in training and could return to the squad.

Norwich are without Austrian international defender Timm Klose through injury, as well as central midfielder Emmanuel Tettey. Defenders Russell Martin and Andre Wisdom are both carrying knocks, but are expected to be fit to feature in this one.

Possible Arsenal Team Selection

Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Elneny, Ramsey, Sanchez, Ozil, Iwobi, Giroud

Possible Norwich Team Selection

Ruddy, Wisdom, Bennett, Boateng, Olsson, Redmond, Howson, O’Neil, Brady, Hoolahan, Jerome

Match Prediction

Norwich are in desperate need of a win in this clash, but their away record is not exactly encouraging. Arsenal may have been lacklustre last time out, but I expect them to have too much quality for the struggling Canaries.
