Arsenal play hosts to West Brom at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night in the Premier League, with the home side looking to secure a top four position this season.

Arsenal were left frustrated last time out as the Gunners drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium. The side from north London took the lead through Alexis Sanchez, but Yannick Bolasie found a late equaliser for the visitors

The draw means that the Gunners are now fourth in the Premier League table and are just four points clear of fifth-place Manchester United. Arsene Wenger’s side now needs to find some form to secure a top four place.

West Brom’s mixed run of form continued last time out, as the Baggies suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Watford after striker Saido Berahino saw two penalty kicks saved by Hornets ‘keeper Heurelho Gomes. Hornets midfielder Ben Watson grabbed the only goal of the game.

The Baggies are 14th in the Premier League table and speculation continues to mount about boss Tony Pulis’ future at the club.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met 19 times in the Premier League, with Arsenal recording 13 wins. Three games have finished in draws and West Brom have recorded three wins.

The Gunners have also dominated the nine meetings at the Emirates Stadium, recording seven wins, while one game finished in a draw and West Brom have won just once.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has a poor record against Arsenal. The Welsh boss has faced the Gunners on 15 occasions, picking up just four wins and draws and also suffering nine defeats.

West Brom have failed to win any of their last four Premier League games and suffered three defeats. The Baggies have only won one of their last 11 Premier League away games.

The Baggies have now failed to score in three of their last four Premier League games.

Arsenal have won just one of their last six home games in all competitions.

Team Selection And News

The home side are once again set to be without midfield quartet Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla for this clash. Despite a draw against Crystal Palace, Arsene Wenger could name an unchanged starting line-up in this clash.

West Brom will still be without Northern Ireland international midfielder Chris Brunt, who will miss the remainder of the campaign. Scotland midfielder James Morrison will also miss out through injury, while on-loan midfielder Alex Pritchard is also a major doubt for the clash.

Sandro, Jonas Olsson, Craig Gardner and Callum McManaman could all come into contention to start this clash.

Possible Arsenal Team Selection

Cech, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Elneny, Sanchez, Ozil, Iwobi, Welbeck

Possible West Brom Team Selection

Foster, Dawson, Evans, McAuley, Chester, Yacob, Fletcher, Berahino, Sessegnon, McClean, Rondon

Match Prediction

West Brom have been poor on their travels this season and Arsenal’s form has also been inconsistent of late. However, I do believe that the Gunners should have enough fire power to come out on top in this clash.
