Aston Villa hosts Arsenal in Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off, as the home side look to build on a draw last time out.
Aston Villa recorded a very creditable 1-1 draw at Southampton last time out. Defender Joleon Lescott gave the Villans the lead in the first half, only for Spanish midfielder Oriol Romeu to rescue a point with an equaliser in the second half.
The win ended a run of six straight away defeats and everybody connected with the Villans will be hoping that the draw leads to a change of fortunes. However, the Villans still remain routed to the bottom of the Premier League table having collected just six points all season
Arsenal claimed a 3-1 win against Sunderland last time out in the Premier League. Joel Campbell opened the scoring, prior to Olivier Giroud putting through his own goal. The French striker made amends by scoring the Gunners second and Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey grabbed the third goal in stoppage-time.
The win kept Arsenal in touch with the teams at the top of the table and the Gunners are second in the Premier League table, just two points behind league leaders Leicester.

Aston Villa v Arsenal Match Prediction

The draw with Southampton may have lifted the doom and gloom at Villa slightly, but they will still face an uphill task to claim anything from this game. Arsenal do have a number of injuries, but still have enough quality players to clinch the win in this clash.
