Kick Off – 15.00pm Saturday 28th November 2015

Aston Villa are rock bottom of the Premier League, having collected just five points from their 13 top-flight games this season.
Remi Garde kicked-off his career as Villa boss with a 0-0 draw against Manchester City, but last time out the Villans were hammered 4-0 at Everton, with both Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku both grabbing braces for the Toffees.
One of Villa’s main problems this season has been finding the net, having scored a league low of just ten goals so far this season.
Watford also suffered defeat last time out, but theirs was a rather harsher one, as Manchester United claimed a 2-1 victory over the Hornets. The winning goal came on 90 minutes, as Bastian Schweinsteiger’s shot was diverted into his own net by Troy Deeney.
The striker had been celebrating scoring the Hornets equaliser just three minutes prior to beating his own ‘keeper. The Hornets top scorer from last season now has three goals in his last four top-flight appearances.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have only clashed four times in the Premier League, with Villa winning three of the meetings and the other ending in a draw.
The Villans have won both the Premier League games played between the two teams at Villa Park.
In fact Watford have won just one of the last ten meetings between the two teams in all competitions, with Villa being unbeaten in the last five meetings in all competitions.
The Hornets have failed to score in any of the previous four Premier League encounters with the side from the Midlands.
Villa have lost eight of their last nine games in the Premier League, with that draw against City the only game they have avoided defeat in that period.
The Villans have failed to score in five of their last seven league games at Villa Park.

Team Selection & News

The home side are without full-back Jordan Amavi, who recently picked-up a season-ending injury. Villa also has doubts over the fitness of centre-back Jores Okore and striker Gabby Agbonlahor.
Former-Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede missed out on the starting line-up last time out, but could start this must-win game for the Villans. Villa boss Remi Garde may make changes from the 4-0 defeat at Everton last time out.
The Hornets remain without centre-backs Joel Ekstrand and Sebastian Prodl through injury. Therefore Quique Sanchez Flores may choose an unchanged line-up from the one that came so close to grabbing a point against Manchester United.

Possible Aston Villa line-up: Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Richardson, Gueye, Sanchez, Westwood, Grealish, Ayew, Gestede

Possible Watford line-up: Gomes, Nyom, Cathcart, Britos, Anya, Abdi, Watson, Capoue, Jurado, Deeney, Ighalo

Aston Villa v Watford Match Prediction

The home side have looked very poor this season and the Watford front two of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo have the potential to cause the Villans defence major problems. For me though Villa may just be able to nick a draw from this clash.
