Aston Villa hosts West Brom on Saturday at Villa Park in a Midlands derby, with both teams struggling to find form.
The home side managed to throw away a two goal lead last time out against Leicester and suffered a 3-2 defeat. The Villans looked like they were coasting to victory after superbly taken goals from Jack Grealish and Carles Gil.
However, Leicester got a goal back on 72 minutes through defender Ritchie De Laet and further goals from Jamie Vardy and debutant Nathan Dyer was enough to seal a late victory for the Foxes.
The defeat meant that Villa have won just one of their five Premier League games so far this season. Tim Sherwood and co. will be looking at this derby as a big chance to record their second win of the campaign.
West Brom recorded a goalless draw against Southampton last time out in the Premier League. The Baggies have only taken five points from their first five Premier League. Tony Pulis side are 15th in the table and have struggled to score goals this season.
The trip to Villa Park has not been a happy one for the Baggies in recent years, but Tony Pulis’ side will be looking to take advantage of the Villans inconsistency with a win against their fellow Midlanders.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met 18 times in the Premier League, with Villa coming out on top seven times, the Baggies claiming three wins and there being eight draws.
The visitors have a poor record at Villa Park though, having won just once in their nine Premier League visits, while Villa have claimed five wins and there has also been three draws.
Villa has won the last three clashes between the two sides in all competitions at Villa Park.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis has come up against Villa boss Tim Sherwood on three occasions and suffered defeat in all three games.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in five out of the last six West Brom away games.

Team News

The Baggies first choice ‘keeper Ben Foster remains sidelined through injury and Boaz Myhill will deputise for the England international. Pulis team also have an injury doubt over former-Manchester United centre-back Jonny Evans, but the centre-back is expected to feature.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis may decide to field a more defensive line-up than last time out, but he may look to exploit that shaky Villa defence with two up front.
The visitors have a number of injury doubts ahead of this clash. Defenders Jores Okore and Jose Angel Crespo, plus midfielders Idrissa Gueye and Adama Traore are all doubts for the clash. The quartet all missed the trip Leicester last time out.

Possible Aston Villa line-up: Guzan, Bacuna, Lescott, Richards, Amavi, Sanchez, Westwood, Gil, Grealish, Sinclair, Agbonlahor

Possible West Brom line-up: Myhill, Dawson, McAuley, Evans, Brunt, McManaman, Fletcher, Yacob, Gardner, Lambert, Rondon

Aston Villa vs West Brom Prediction

This game could be a close one, with neither side being renowned for their goal scoring exploits. I would say that this game will probably be a low scoring draw, as the Baggies do not tend to be involved in high scoring games and Villa until recently have not tended to be involved in high scoring games either. Back Villa to draw with West Brom odds are 11/5.

Our Big Match Tip

We are having a go at the draw as our prediction but to spice the price up a bit We are backing Aston Villa to draw 1-1 with West Brom at the better odds of 11/2.
