Last time out Eddie Howe’s team took a two goal lead at Swansea through goals from Joshua King and Dan Gosling, but managed to only take a 2-2 draw from the game. The draw left the side from Dorset in the bottom three and means Howe’s side have not won in seven top-flight games.
The Cherries produced a very good performance for the first half an hour against Swansea, but failed to keep up their level of performance. They now face a difficult run of games starting with the clash against Everton.
The Toffees head to the south coast in good spirits after a 4-0 defeat of Aston Villa last time out in the Premier League. Striker Romelu Lukaku and playmaker Ross Barkley both scored braces as Roberto Martinez’s side produced a superb display of attacking football.
Lukaku has now produced four goals and two assists in his last three Premier League games. Only Leicester’s in-form striker Jamie Vardy has scored more than Lukaku’s nine top-flight goals this season.

Team Selection & News

Bournemouth really are in the midst of an injury crisis at the moment. Star striker Callum Wilson, winger Max Gradel and record-signing Tyrone Mings will all be sidelined into the New Year, while centre-back Tommy Elphick is expected back in action on Boxing Day.
To add to that injury list ‘keeper Artur Boruc, wingers Christian Atsu and Danny Pugh join strikers Lee Tomlin and Tokelo Rantie on the doubtful list for the Cherries.
Everton have had a very settled starting line-up in recent weeks and Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is likely to name an unchanged team to the one that hammered Villa last weekend.
Captain Phil Jagielka is expected to be out of action until Boxing Day, while fellow defenders Leighton Baines, Tony Hibbert and Tyias Browning are all doubts. Bryan Oviedo and Steven Pienaar have both seen very little football this season and are also expected to miss out on this clash.

Possible Bournemouth line-up: Boruc, Francis, Cook, Distin, Daniels, Surman, Ritchie, Arter, Gosling, Stanislas, King

Possible Everton line-up: Howard, Coleman, Stones, Funes Mori, Galloway, McCarthy, Barry, Deulofeu, Barkley, Koné, Lukaku

Bournemouth v Everton Match Prediction

Bournemouth look very low on confidence and the Cherries face an Everton side brimming with attacking threat. The likes of Barkley, Lukaku, Gerard Deulofeu and Arouna Kone should have too much quality for the Premier League new boys.
