Bournemouth host Watford at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, as both teams look to get back to winning ways.
Bournemouth lost 2-1 at Stoke last time out in the Premier League, following consecutive league victories. The Cherries looked set for a point at the Britannia Stadium, but an 83rd minute strike from Stoke substitute Biram Mame Diouf.
The defeat was made worse by the fact the Cherries top scorer Callum Wilson, who has scored five league goals this season, picked-up a potentially serious injury. The former-Coventry star is unlikely to feature in this clash.
Watford’s good run of form was halted in their last match, as Crystal Palace claimed a 1-0 win at Vicarage Road. The game was a tight encounter, but a Yohan Cabaye penalty with 20 minutes remaining was enough to clinch maximum points for the Eagles.
The defeat came after the Hornets had claimed consecutive Premier League wins, and three consecutive clean sheets. The two wins moved the Hornets up to 13th place in the Premier League table, after collecting nine points in the top-flight this season.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have never met in the Premier League, and in fact have only ever met on five occasions in all competitions. The Hornets have won two games, the Cherries have won one and two games have been drawn.
The two encounters played at Dean Court have produced one win for Bournemouth and one draw. That one win came last time these two teams met in the Championship last January.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Bournemouth’s three home games in the Premier League games this season.
There have also been under 2.5 goals scored in five out of Watford’s last six Premier League games.

Team News

Bournemouth are without full-back Tyrone Mings and winger Max Gradel, who both have long-term injuries, while star striker Callum Wilson is likely to miss out on this encounter through that injury picked-up at Stoke. Deadline day signing Glenn Murray is likely to replace Wilson up front.
The Cherries also have doubts over the fitness of centre-back Tommy Elphick and midfielder Harry Arter, with the latter yet to make an appearance for Howe’s team this season due to injury.
The Hornets still have a doubt over the fitness of defender Joel Ekstrand, while Swiss international midfielder Valon Behrami is suspended. Quique Sanchez Flores may opt to field an unchanged team from the one which took to the pitch against Crystal Palace.

Possible Bournemouth line-up: Boruc, Francis, Cook, Distin, Daniels, Ritchie, Gosling, Surman, Pugh, Tomlin, Murray

Possible Watford line-up: Gomes, Nyom, Cathcart, Prodl, Anya, Capoue, Watson, Abdi, Deeney, Jurado, Ighalo

Bournemouth vs Watford Match Prediction

This could be a tight game, with neither side prolific this season in front of goal. Wilson’s absence will not help the Cherries chances of scoring either. However, I do think that Eddie Howe’s team may secure maximum points.
An alternative bet to make would be under 2.5 goals, because of both teams being involved in low-scoring games of late.
