Chelsea hosts Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League, with the hosts looking to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Chelsea have made an inconsistent start to the defence of their Premier League title with a draw and loss, before last time out grabbing a 3-2 win at West Brom. New signing Pedro made an instant impact by scoring the first goal and collecting an assist for the second scored by Diego Costa.
It was not all good news for the reigning at the Hawthorns though, as captain John Terry was dismissed for pulling back Baggies striker Salomon Rondon early in the second half. Terry’s was Chelsea’s second red card in just three Premier League games this season.
Crystal Palace also picked-up a win last time out, beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Selhurst Park courtesy of an 87th minute winner from debutant Bakary Sako.
The Ivorian arrived at Palace earlier this summer as a free agent after impressing in the Championship for Wolves. The winger could turn out to be a shrewd signing on the evidence of his first appearance.

The visitors have a few injury problems ahead of their trip to Stamford Bridge. The Eagles have doubts over the fitness of Julian Speroni, Connor Wickham, Marouane Chamakh and Yannick Bolasie, while striker Patrick Bamford is ineligible to face his parent club.
Palace boss Alan Pardew may choose to field an unchanged line-up after that late win against Villa last time out.

Possible Chelsea line-up: Courtois, Ivanovic, Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Pedro, Willian, Hazard, Costa

Possible Crystal Palace line-up: McCarthy, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Cabaye, McArthur, Zaha, Puncheon, Sako, Murray

Chelsea v Crystal Place Prediction

Chelsea looked a far more dangerous team last time out against West Brom, especially new signing Pedro. Jose Mourinho’s side should have enough to defeat the Eagles, but they will have to be wary of Palace’s lightning quick counter-attacks.
