Former champions Chelsea host new champions Leicester at Stamford Bridge, as Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri returns to his former club as a Premier League title winner.

Last time out Chelsea drew 1-1 at Liverpool in the Premier League. The Blues took the lead through a fantastic solo effort from Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard. The Merseysiders equalised in stoppage-time through Hazard’s compatriot Christian Benteke.

The Blues will finish ninth in the Premier League this season after an awful campaign. The former-champions will be hoping to finish the season with a win.

Newly-crowned champions Leicester won 3-1 against Everton last time out. Top scorer Jamie Vardy opened the scoring, before midfielder Andy King added a second.

Vardy scored his brace from the penalty spot, only to blow the chance of a hat-trick by missing another penalty kick. The Toffees got a goal back through Kevin Mirallas, but it was too little too late.

England international striker Vardy has now scored 24 Premier League and produced eight assists this season. The 29-year-old is still in the running for the top-flight golden boot award.

Chelsea have dominated the 19 Premier League meetings between these two teams, recording 11 wins, with Leicester winning four times and four games finishing in draws.

The Blues have also dominated the nine Premier League meetings at Stamford Bridge, recording six wins, while two games have finished in draws and Leicester have won just once.

Chelsea have won eight of the last ten meetings in all competitions, with Leicester winning the other two, including the reverse fixture earlier this season at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are unbeaten in nine Premier League games and have recorded seven wins in that period. The Foxes have lost just one of their last eight games away from home in the Premier League.

Claudio Ranieri’s side have scored two or more in four of their last five Premier League games.

Chelsea have won just two of their last nine games in the Premier League. Seven of the Blues last nine Premier League home games have been drawn. There has been over 2.5 goals scored in the Blues in their last three top-flight games.

Team Selection And News

Chelsea head into this clash without injured centre-back Kurt Zouma and John Terry through suspension. The Blues also have doubts over defender Branislav Ivanovic, midfielder, Willian and Diego Costa are also doubts for the clash with the new champions. Youngster Bertrand Traore may start up front in Costa’s absence.

Leicester boss Ranieri has a fully-fit squad to choose from for his return to Stamford Bridge, but the Foxes are without German centre-back Robert Huth through suspension. Veteran Marcin Wasilewski is likely to fill in for the former-Chelsea star.

Possible Chelsea Team Selection

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Miazga, Cahill, Baba, Matic, Mikel, Pedro, Fabregas, Hazard, Traore

Possible Leicester Team Selection

Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Schlupp, Okazaki, Vardy

Match Prediction

The former-champions face the newly crowned champions in this clash in an interesting end of season clash. I believe these two teams will probably cancel each other out and this game will finish in a draw.
