Chelsea hosts Norwich at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League, with the home side looking to end a terrible run of form in the top-flight.
Chelsea’s terrible run of form this season continued last time out, with a 1-0 defeat at Stoke’s Britannia Stadium. It was the Blues seventh defeat in their 12 Premier League games this season. Blues boss Jose Mourinho is now under intense pressure from the media and fans to turn things around, as the Blues are currently 16th place in the top-flight table.
However, Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has kept faith with the under-fire boss, despite reports that he could be sacked in the international break.
Norwich are currently 15th in the Premier League table, having taken just 12 points from their first 12 league games of the campaign. Last time out though the Canaries claimed a 1-0 victory over Swansea at Carrow Road, with midfielder Jonny Howson scoring the only goal of the game.
The Canaries will be desperate to pick-up a positive result from their trip to the reigning Premier League champions and may fancy their chances with the Blues in such poor form.

Facts And Figures

Chelsea has dominated this fixture in the Premier League, winning seven of the 14 games played. Norwich has claimed four victories and three games have resulted in three draws.
The Blues have won four of the seven meetings at Stamford Bridge, with Norwich claiming two wins and one game has finished in a draw.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has faced the Canaries on five occasions and claimed four wins, drawing the other game.
Chelsea has won eight of the last ten competitive meetings between the two teams.
However, Chelsea has suffered three consecutive defeats in the Premier League.
Norwich has won just one of their last 17 away games in the top-flight. The Canaries have also conceded two or more goals in their last three away games in the Premier League.
Largely helped by the Canaries generous defending, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in five out of Norwich’s last six games on their travels in the Premier League.

Team News

Chelsea are still without first choice ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois through injury and Asmir Begovic will continue to deputise for the Belgium international. On-loan Colombian striker Radamel Falcao is expected to miss out and Kurt Zouma is a doubt for the clash.
The Canaries are without on-loan West Ham winger Matthew Jarvis, while fellow winger Nathan Redmond is also a doubt for the clash. Stuart Whittaker returns from suspension. Alex Neil may choose to name an unchanged team from the Swansea win, but Whittaker may return in place of Andre Wisdom.

Possible Chelsea team selection: Begovic, Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Bahman, Matic, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Costa

Possible Norwich team selection: Ruddy, Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Olsson, Tettey, O’Neil, Howson, Brady, Hoolahan, Jerome

Chelsea v Norwich Match Prediction

Despite Chelsea’s struggles this season I can see Jose Mourinho’s side claiming victory in this clash. Norwich has been poor away from home in the Premier League and Chelsea are in desperate need of a victory.
Chelsea to get back on track and beat Norwich at odds of 4/9 with Corals.

Our Big Match Tip

We see Chelsea winning this but not at a canter like some people would think. We are going in to the correct score market and backing Chelsea to win 2-1 against Norwich at odds of 7/1.
