Crystal Palace host Everton at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night in the Premier League, as the Eagles look to pick-up a win that would virtually guarantee their safety this season.

The home side ended a 14 match run without a Premier League win by defeating relegation-threatened Norwich 1-0 at Selhurst Park last time out. Winger Jason Puncheon scored the only goal of the game to give the Eagles a vital victory.

The victory moved the Eagles further clear of the drop zone and they are now 16th position in the table. The Eagles will now be confident of securing another crucial win after their victory over Norwich.

Everton seem to be coasting towards the end of the campaign and drew 1-1 at Watford last time out in the Premier League. The Toffees took the lead through James McCarthy against the Hornets, only for Jose Holebas to level the scores soon afterwards.

The draw led to more calls for boss Roberto Martinez to be dismissed, as the side from Merseyside are now 14th in the table.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met 13 times in the Premier League, with Everton recording six wins, Palace claiming five wins and two games finishing in draws.

Everton have dominated the six Premier League fixtures at Selhurst Park, recording four wins. Palace have won one and one game has finished in a draw.

Everton have won just one of the last five meetings with Palace, but the Eagles last home win against the Toffees at Selhurst Park was back in 1994.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has a poor record against Palace. The Spaniard has faced Palace on eight occasions, recording just one win, two draws and has suffered five defeats.

Palace have suffered six defeats at home in the Premier League from their last seven outings, with the win over Norwich the exception.

Everton have lost just two of their last 16 away games in the Premier League and those defeats came at Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Toffees have won one of their last six Premier League outings, picking up one draw and also suffering four defeats.

Team Selection And News

The home side are expected to once again be missing central midfielder James McArthur and striker Marouane Chamakh, while centre-back Brede Hangeland and striker Emmanuel Adebayor are also doubtful for this clash. Striker Connor Wickham could replace Dwight Gayle up front.

Everton are without full-backs Tony Hibbert and Tyias Browning through injury. Midfield trio Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar and Darron Gibson are also doubts. The Toffees may line-up with the same eleven that drew at Watford last time out.

Possible Crystal Palace Team Selection

Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Jedinak, Cabaye, Bolasie, Puncheon, Sako, Wickham

Possible Everton Team Selection

Robles, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Deulofeu, Barkley, Lennon, Lukaku

Match Prediction

The win over Norwich last time out will no doubt lift the mood amongst the Palace players and should lead to an improved display in this encounter. Everton have looked lacklustre of late, but have a decent away record and I can see them taking a draw home from this clash.
