Everton hosts Aston Villa at Goodison Park on Saturday in the Premier League, with the visitors looking for just their second league win of the season.
Everton currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, after drawing 1-1 with West Ham at the Boleyn Ground last time out in the league. Argentinian playmaker Manuel Lanzini gave the home side the lead, before in-form Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku equalised on the stroke of half-time.
The goal was assisted by Spanish attacking midfielder Gerard Deulofeu, who has now produced four assists in his last three appearances and six overall in the league this season, despite not always being first choice.
Aston Villa are bottom of the Premier League table, having collected just five points from 12 Premier League games. However the Villans did end a seven game losing streak in the league with a very creditable goalless draw against league leaders Manchester City last time out.
The draw at Villa Park was new boss Remi Garde’s first game in charge and the former Lyon boss will be encouraged by his team’s performance. The performance was not the only plus for Villa they also kept just their second clean sheet of the season against City.

The home side heads into this clash with a number of injury problems. Centre-back Phil Jagielka will definitely miss out, while Leighton Baines, Tom Cleverley, Bryan Oviedo, Steven Pienaar and Muhamed Besic are all doubts.

Everton v Aston Villa Match Prediction

Despite Villa ending their lost streak last time out, I cannot look past a home victory in this clash. The Toffees have been playing good football in spells this season, with Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu both in decent form of late. Everton to beat Villa odds are 4/7 with Corals.
