Everton hosts Stoke at Goodison Park on Monday in the Premier League, as both teams look to build on wins last time out in the top-flight.
Boxing Day saw Everton end their four-game run without a Premier League win, with a last-gasp 1-0 victory at Newcastle. The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw, before Tom Cleverley headed home with virtually the last kick of the game.
The victory moved the Toffees up to ninth in the Premier League table and they will now be looking to mount a challenge for a European spot.
On Boxing Day the visitors claimed a 2-0 victory over Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium. Spanish forward Bojan opened the scoring and Austrian winger Marko Arnautovic added a second later in the first half.
Arnautovic has hit a spot of form in recent weeks and has now scored six goals in the Premier League this season and also produced two assists for his team. Bojan has now scored in consecutive games for the Potters.

Facts And Figures

The 14 Premier League meetings between these two teams have been very even. Everton have recorded five wins, Stoke have won four times and five games have been drawn.
However it has been a different story at Goodison Park, as the Toffees have won five out of the seven Premier League meetings, with Stoke picking-up just two wins, both of which have been by a 1-0 score line.
One of those Stoke wins came at Goodison last season and it meant the Potters had recorded consecutive wins over the men from Merseyside. In fact Everton have won just three of the last ten meetings against Stoke in the Premier League.
Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has faced opposite number Mark Hughes on eight occasions and claimed just one win, drawing three games and losing four.
Stoke has kept clean sheets in their last three meetings with Everton in all competitions. The Potters have also kept clean sheets in six of their last eight top-flight matches.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Stoke’s last eight games away from home in the Premier League.

Team Selection & News

The home side are without defensive trio Phil Jagielka, Tyias Browning and Tony Hibbert. Steven Pienaar, Bryan Oviedo, Steven Naismith and James McCarthy are all doubts. Arouna Kone and Gerard Deulofeu could return to the starting line-up in place of Aaron Lennon and Kevin Mirallas.
Stoke are without Shay Given, Peter Crouch and Stephen Ireland through injury, while Peter Odemwingie, Marc Muniesa, Geoff Cameron and Glenn Whelan are also doubts.

Possible Everton team line-up: Howard, Coleman, Stones, Funes Mori, Baines, Barry, Cleverley, Deulofeu, Barkley, Kone, Lukaku

Possible Stoke team line-up: Butland, Johnson, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Pieters, Adam, Van Ginkel, Arnautovic, Afellay, Shaqiri, Bojan

Everton v Stoke Match Prediction

For me this game could go either. Stoke have looked very solid this season, but Everton have been very unpredictable and have been the Premier League draw specialists this season. The most likely outcome in this clash looks to be a draw.
