Everton v Stoke City Betting Preview
Everton play Stoke at Goodison Park on Saturday in the Premier League, as the home look to continue their positive start to their league campaign. Everton have made a bright start to life under Ronald Koeman and are favourites to win this clash at odds of . The side from Merseyside have taken four points from their first two league games under new boss Koeman. Last time out in the Premier League the Toffees won 2-1 at West Brom. The Baggies took the lead in the first half through Gareth McAuley, before goals from Kevin Mirallas and Gareth Barry gave the Merseysiders all three points.

The Toffees have won just three of their last 13 Premier League games and the win at the Hawthorns was their first away win in the top-flight in seven outings. The 16 Premier League meetings between the pair have been very even, with Everton recording six wins, Stoke winning five times and five games finishing in draws. The eight Premier League clashes held at Goodison Park have produced four Everton wins, Stoke winning three times and one game finishing in a draw. The Potters recorded a 4-3 win on Merseyside last season in an entertaining encounter. In fact, the Potters have won on their last two visits to Goodison Park. However, the Toffees have won just one of the last five meetings between the two teams, but that came in their last meeting at Stoke last season.

Stoke have not enjoyed a great start to their Premier League campaign and are underdogs to win this clash at odds of . Stoke suffered a 4-1 defeat against Manchester City at the Bet365 Stadium last time out in the Premier League. Sergio Aguero gave City a two-goal lead in the first half. Bojan halved the Citizens lead before a late brace from substitute Nolito sealed the victory. The Potters have now only won one of their last nine Premier League outings and just one of their last six games on their travels.

Team News:
Everton are without full-back Seamus Coleman and central midfielder Muhamed Besic through injury. Striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to return to the starting line-up, with James McCarthy likely to drop down to the bench as the Merseysiders return to a 4-2-3-1 formation. Winger Yannick Bolasie and centre-back Ashley Williams will both be looking for full Premier League debuts for the Toffees, but may have to settle for a place on the bench. The Potters are without long-term injury casualties Stephan Ireland and Ibrahim Afellay, while full-back Glen Johnson and goalkeeper Jack Butland are both major doubts having failed to feature this season. Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri is also a doubt for the clash.

Possible Everton team line-up: Stekelenburg, Holgate, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, Gueye, Mirallas, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku
Possible Stoke team line-up: Given, Bardsley, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Pieters, Imbula, Alen, Whelan, Bojan, Arnautovic, Diouf

Betting Tip:
Stoke may have won on the last two visits to Goodison Park, but the Toffees produced some very impressive football in the second half against West Brom. With Lukaku restored up front, they should record Koeman’s first home league win.
