Everton host West Ham at Goodison Park on Saturday in the Premier League.

The home side recorded a comfortable 3-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park on Tuesday night. Ramiro Funes Mori opened the scoring, before Aaron Lennon added a second goal. Romelu Lukaku added a third in the second half. Villa scored a consolation goal in the second half through striker Rudy Gestede.

The win now means that the Toffees are 11th place in the Premier League table and will be looking to finish the season in strong style. The side from Merseyside have been prolific in front of goal and only league leaders Leicester have scored more goals in the top-flight than the Toffees.

Top scorer Romelu Lukaku scored his 17th Premier League goal of the season last time out, which no player has achieved in the Premier League era for the Toffees.

West Ham have now recorded consecutive Premier League wins after defeating London rivals Tottenham 1-0 at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday night. The only goal of the game came from winger Michail Antonio, who is starting to look like a shrewd signing by Slaven Bilic.

The win means that the Hammers are sixth in the Premier League table and just a point behind fourth-place Manchester City. The aforementioned Antonio has now scored three goals in his last five Premier League appearances.

Facts And Figures

Everton have a very good record in the 39 Premier League meetings with West Ham, recording 22 wins and 11 draws. The Hammers have recorded just six wins in those top-flight meetings.

The Toffees have dominated the 19 Premier League fixtures at Goodison Park, winning 12 games. Five games have finished in draws and the Hammers have recorded just two victories.

West Ham have failed to beat Everton in the last 18 meetings in all competitions, although the Hammers did defeat the Toffees in a penalty shoot-out in the FA Cup last season.

Everton have won three out of the last four meetings at Goodison Park, with the other game resulting in a draw.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in five of Everton’s last six Premier League games.

Team Selection And News

The only player to have definitely been ruled out is youngster Tyias Browning, who will miss the rest of the season through injury. However the Toffees do have doubts over the fitness of Tom Cleverley, Bryan Oviedo, Darren Gibson and Muhamed Besic.

The Toffees may start with the same team that defeats Villa last time out, but with Leighton Baines coming in for Oviedo at left-back.

West Ham have problems at the back. James Tomkins, Winston Reid and Joey O’Brien have all been ruled out through injury, while Sam Byram is suspended. Striker Enner Valencia will also miss out through injury.

Slaven Bilic may choose to field an unchanged team from last time out, although striker Diafra Sakho is pushing for a recall up front.

Possible Everton Team Selection

Robles, Coleman, Funes Mori, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Lennon, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku

Possible West Ham Team Selection

Adrian, Kouyate, Collins, Ogbonna, Antonio, Lanzini, Noble, Obiang, Cresswell, Payet, Emenike.

Match Prediction

This could be a very entertaining game, as both teams play attacking football and are in decent form heading into this clash. For me this will be a draw, as there is very little to choose between these teams, despite the Toffees recent domination of this fixture.
