Fa Cup Third Round Preview Betting Tips Odds And Predictions

This weekend sees the FA Cup reached the third round stage, which means Premier League sides will enter the competition. Premier League leaders Arsenal have dominated the competition in recent seasons, winning it in consecutive seasons and the Gunners will fancy their chances of making it a hat-trick this season.
The third round gives lower leagues teams the chance to cause a massive shock and join the likes of Wrexham, Hereford and Woking as infamous FA Cup giant killers.
With so many Top-flight clubs facing lower league opposition there is certainly potential for a few shock results this week. Here is a betting preview of just some of the third round FA Cup ties being played this weekend: This betting preview has a brief look at the high profile ties of the round and give you the match odds and our recommended betting tips for these selected FA Cup matches.

Exeter v Liverpool (Friday 7.55PM)
The first FA Cup game of the round takes place on Friday night at St James Park and it is a typical David versus goliath tie. Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp has been inconsistent in the Premier League and will be wary of this potential banana skin.
Exeter are going through a difficult time in League Two, currently sitting 16th in the table, having suffered four consecutive defeats. However, the cup seems to bring the best out of the underdogs and boss Paul Tisdale will be hoping for just that on Friday night.
The only time these two teams have met came in this competition came back in 2011, when the Grecians suffered a 3-1 defeat. Even though the visitors are inconsistent they should claim a victory against their lower league opposition.

Match Odds:
Exeter 8/1
Draw 4/1
Liverpool 2/7

Recommended Betting Tip:
Liverpool to win with ease so we are going in to the Both Teams to Score market. Back that both teams will not score (4/5 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Wycombe v Aston Villa (Saturday 12:45)
This has all the makings of nightmare clash for Premier League basement dwellers Villa. The Villans have struggled for any sort of form this season and have claimed just one win in the Premier League.
The last thing they need is a trip to face Wycombe, who are sixth in League Two and hoping to gain promotion this season. Prior to Saturday’s home defeat against Morecambe, Wycombe had claimed three consecutive league wins.
If the home side claim a win it would not be that much of a shock considering Villa’s form, but a defeat will just add to the misery for the Villans. Unfortunately for the visitors I can see the Chairboy’s pulling off a win in this clash.

Match Odds:
Wycombe 12/5
Draw 12/5
Aston Villa Evs

Recommended Betting Tip:
Wycombe to knock out Villa (12/5 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Arsenal v Sunderland (Saturday 3PM)
The third round is not just about the Premier League big boys facing lower opposition. There is also some interesting all top-flight clashes. Holders Arsenal will be confident of progression to the fourth round, as they face a struggling Sunderland side at the Emirates Stadium.
The Black Cats head to north London in 19th position in the top-flight table, but ended a five game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over fellow strugglers Aston Villa on Saturday.
Arsenal has won five out of their six games and it is difficult to see the north east visitors progressing from this tie.

Match Odds:
Arsenal 1/4
Draw 5/1
Sunderland 15/2

Recommended Betting Tip:
We are looking at the Half Time / Full Time market with Corals, back Arsenal/Arsenal (8/11) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Everton v Dagenham and Redbridge (Saturday 3PM)
Everton have been one of the Premier League’s entertainers this season, with only Manchester City and Leicester scoring more goals in the top-flight. However, the Toffees have also conceded the most home goals of any team in the Premier League.
The visitors are currently third from bottom in League Two, but have claimed consecutive league wins to lift spirits. If Everton boss Roberto Martinez picks a strong team then you would have to fear for the Daggers, as only rock bottom York have conceded more leagues in the fourth tier this season.
The home side have been disappointing this season and currently lie 11th in the top-flight table. They have already excelled in the league cup though this season and will be eying a good run in the FA Cup as well.

Match Odds:
Everton 1/6
Draw 11/2
Dagenham and Redbridge 12/1

Recommended Betting Tip:
With the way Everton are defending at the moment we can see both teams scoring so that is what we will go for (17/20 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Eastleigh v Bolton (Saturday 3PM)
Non-league Eastleigh will be hoping to pull off a surprise result against struggling Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers.
Eastleigh has been in decent form of late in the Blue Square Premier division and are currently fourth place looking to secure promotion this season. The non-leaguers have won five out of their last six games in the FA Cup.
Bolton are currently rock-bottom in the Championship. One win in their last five games has put boss Neil Lennon under major pressure at the Macron Stadium. It would not be a major shock to see a home win in this clash, but Wanderers will be desperate to avoid another disheartening result.

Match Odds:
Eastleigh 12/5
Draw 12/5
Bolton Evs

Recommended Betting Tip:
Bolton to get some respite from their league form and nab a win and progress to the next round (Evs Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Watford v Newcastle (Saturday 3PM)
This clash sees two teams who have struggled for form of late clash at Vicarage Road. Watford have been one the teams of the season in the Premier League.
However, the Hornets have suffered consecutive league defeats and not won in three Premier League games, although those three games were against Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City.
Quique Sanchez Flores side will be confident of getting back on track with a win this clash. The Hornets have already beaten Newcastle 2-1 this season and will be looking to claim another victory over the Magpies.
Newcastle are 18th in the Premier League table after a festive period that brought them three consecutive defeats. Those defeats were compounded by the fact that Steve McClaren’s side failed to find the net, as they lost all three games 1-0.
The Magpies recent record in the FA Cup is a poor one, as they have won just one of their last seven games in the competition. Vicarage Road is a hard ground to visit and it seems unlikely that the visiting Toon Army will have much to celebrate on the long trip home.

Match Odds:
Watford 4/5
Draw 12/5
Newcastle 10/3

Recommended Betting Tip:
Watford to beat Newcastle seems a good bet and that’s enough for us (4/5 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Manchester United v Sheffield United (Saturday 5:30PM)
It’s the clash of the United’s in Saturday’s late kick-off. Manchester United ended a run of eight games without a win by beating Swansea 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday, but there are still doubts over the future of Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.
United had struggled to score goals prior to Saturday and they come up against a Blades side that has kept six clean sheets in their last eight FA Cup outings. The Blades suffered defeat last time out, but had claimed four consecutive wins prior to that loss and are chasing a play-off position in League One.
This has the potential for a giant killing, but the home side should have enough quality to see off the visitors from Yorkshire.

Match Odds:
Manchester United 2/7
Draw 4/1
Sheffield United 8/1

Recommended Betting Tip:
Back that there will be under 2.5 goals in this match (23/20 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Oxford v Swansea (Sunday 12PM)
League Two Oxford United will be looking at this game as a chance to add their name to FA Cup folklore. The U’s are currently 15th in the fourth tier after an inconsistent run of league form.
However, they will fancy their chances of a victory in this tie over Premier League strugglers Swansea. The Swans are 17th in the top-flight table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
The Welsh side have not got a great record in the FA Cup of late either, as they have conceded two or more goals in their last three games in this competition.
Swansea’s caretaker boss Alan Curtis has rotated his squad heavily during the festive period and his team selection will have a major bearing this clash. The top-flight side should have enough quality to see off the U’s, but this is the sort of clash that has produced shocks in the past.

Match Odds:
Oxford 3/1
Draw 5/2
Swansea 5/6

Recommended Betting Tip:
Swansea to come away with victory and advance (5/6 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Chelsea v Scunthorpe (Sunday 2PM)
Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea will have breathed a massive sigh of relief after ending a poor run of form with an emphatic 3-0 win at Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Blues look more like the team of last season, rather than the team that are languishing near the bottom of the table.
League One Scunthorpe may just meet Chelsea at a bad time. The Iron are currently 15th in the third tier table after a patchy run of form. No doubt they would have fancied their chances of securing a shock a lot more prior to Chelsea’s win against Palace.
Now though, Chelsea looks to be on the mend from their early season poor form and should secure passage to the fourth round relatively comfortably.

Match Odds:
Chelsea 2/9
Draw 5/1
Scunthorpe 9/1

Recommended Betting Tip:
Back that Both Teams to Score will be no (4/6 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers

Tottenham v Leicester (Sunday 4PM)
In possibly the tie of the round, two of the Premier League’s top four meet at White Hart, as fourth-place Tottenham host second-place Leicester.
Tottenham have enjoyed a good recent run claiming three consecutive wins, before drawing 1-1 at free-scoring Everton on Sunday. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have looked very impressive going forward and will be confident of progressing to the fourth round.
The top-flight’s surprise package Leicester has gone off the boil a little bit, having failed to win any of their last three Premier League games. The Foxes have also failed to score in those three games and to add to their attacking problems top scorer Jamie Vardy will miss this clash, as he is set to undergo surgery for a minor groin problem.
The way Spurs are playing and the absence of Vardy point to a home win in this clash, but the Foxes cannot be completely written-off as they have proven all season long.

Match Odds:
Tottenham 8/11
Draw 12/5
Leicester 10/3

Recommended Betting Tip:
Even without Vardy we see there being goals in this match, back over 2.5 goals being scored (3/4 Corals) – Open account or place bet here at Corals – Bet £5 Get £20 Free Bets for new customers
