Hungary did well in the group stages when topping Group F, but head into this clash as underdogs to record a victory at odds of 13/2 at Unibet.

Hungary topped Group F and remained unbeaten despite being one of the lowest ranking teams in the competition. They shocked Austria with a 2-0 win in their opener, before claiming draws against Iceland and Portugal.

Bernd Storck’s experienced band of veterans and unknown players have produced three performances of high-class and should not be written-off lightly. Winger Balazs Dzsudzsak scored twice against Portugal and he will be looking to add to his two goals in France, against a talented, but slightly naïve Belgium side.

Belgium endured mixed fortunes in the group stages, but are the favourites to record a win in this clash at odds of 4/6 with Corals.

Belgium started their Euro 2016 campaign off with a 2-0 reverse against the experienced Italians, but then defeated Republic of Ireland and Sweden to secure second place in their group. Despite those successive wins question marks still remain about the talented individuals coming together as a team.

One of those talented individuals is Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who scored twice against Ireland. The 23-year-old will be looking to enhance his reputation by finding the net in this clash.

Past Meetings

Belgium have very much enjoyed the better of the 12 meetings between these two nations, recording eight wins, with two games being drawn and Hungary picking-up just one victory.

The two first met in a third-place play-off back at Euro 74’, with Belgium winning 2-1. The pair was again paired at the World Cup in 1982. The game finished 1-1 and it was enough to see Belgium through to the knockout stages.

The two have met just once in the last 20 years, which came in a 2009 friendly match held in Ghent with Belgium winning 3-0 with goals from Marouane Fellaini, Thomas Vermaelen and Kevin Mirallas.

Team and Selection News

Hungary boss Storck has been very flexible with his tactics in the three group games, but may revert to a 4-2-3-1 formation for this clash. Hungary has doubts over veteran central midfielder Zoltan Gera and full-back Attila Fiola, although Gera is likely to recover in time for this clash.

Belgium has a slight doubt over the fitness over central midfielder Moussa Dembele, who started in place of the highly-rated Radja Nainggolan. The Roma midfielder is likely to start this clash is Dembele fails to recover in time.

Possible Hungary team line-up: Kiraly, Lang, Juhasz, Guzmics, Kadar, Gera, Nagy, Lovrencsics, Elek, Dzsudzsak, Szalai

Possible Belgium team line-up: Courtois, Meunier, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Witsel, Nainggolan, Carrasco, De Bruyne, Hazard, Lukaku
