Leicester hosts Stoke at the King Power Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, as the home side look to continue their title challenge.
Leicester were frustrated by Midlands neighbours Aston Villa last time out, as the Villans claimed a 1-1 draw at Villa Park. Leicester took the lead through Shinji Okazaki, only for Rudy Gestede to equalise for Villa.
The frustration was furthered by the fact that Algerian playmaker Riyad Mahrez saw a penalty kick saved by Villa ‘keeper Mark Bunn. It means Mahrez has now missed consecutive penalty kicks for the Foxes and had the penalty duties taken away from him by boss Claudio Ranieri.
Ranieri’s men are still right in the fight for the Premier League title, as they only trail leaders Arsenal on goal difference. However this game looks unlikely to be an easy one for the Foxes, as Stoke are stubborn opposition.
Stoke continued their decent run of form with a goalless draw against league leaders Arsenal on Saturday at the Britannia Stadium. However, the Potters were unlucky not to win the game, as Gunners goalkeeper Petr Cech put in a fine display.
The Potters remained in seventh position, but they are well placed to fight for a European push this season, with fourth-place Spurs just six points above them in the Premier League table.

Facts And Figures

These teams have only ever met three times in the Premier League, with each team claiming a win apiece and one game finishing in a draw.
The only Premier League meeting to take place between these two teams at the King Power resulted in a 1-0 win to the Potters.
Stoke has won just one of the last seven meetings between these two teams in all competitions.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has a decent record against Leicester though, recording three wins from his five managerial meetings with the Foxes, losing just once and also picking up a draw.
Leicester has suffered just one defeat in their last 15 games in the Premier League.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in the Foxes last five top-flight games.

Team Selection & News

Leicester has a near fully-fit squad for this clash with the exception of full-back Jeffrey Schlupp, who remains sidelined through injury. Central midfielder Matt James is back in training after injury, but is lacking match fitness.
Stoke are without veteran goalkeeper Shay Given, who was unlikely to start anyway. The Potters also have major doubts over the fitness of USA international Geoff Cameron and Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, who have now both missed the last two Premier League matches.

Possible Leicester City team line-up: Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Vardy, Okazaki

Possible Stoke City team line-up: Butland, Johnson, Wollscheid, Shawcross, Pieters, Whelan, Afellay, Arnautovic, Bojan, Walters, Joselu

Leicester v Stoke Match Prediction

This has low-scoring draw written all over it for me. Neither team have been involved in high-scoring games of late, nor lose many games. The Foxes are in need of a win to maintain their title challenge, but stubborn Stoke are likely to frustrate the Foxes.
