Lingfield All Weather Championship Racing Tips

Lingfield All Weather Championship Racing Tips

by 24th March 2016

The finale of the all weather season today as Lingfield hosts the All Weather Championships (I will be there although no runner this year) and Wolverhampton has an excellent supporting card, which includes the first 2 year old race in the UK of the year.

We are coming into this Championship in fine form with a double yesterday with our racing tips. Ascot Boy returning an unbelievable 7/1 and Ridgeway Flyer being well backed in from an advised 11/4 to 15/8. So on to today’s racing tips and they are all from the meeting at Lingfield.

On the Wolverhampton card the 14.25 looks a very decent class 2 full of competitive horses, Turn The Tide worth keeping any eye on. The 14.55 is another class 2 and looks best left to Gang Warfare for the every impressing Crisford stable. The 15.30 is the 2 year old bonus race and with the draw I like Cullingworth for Fahey and Hamilton, although the Dascombe and Evans runners need attention.

13.40 Lingfield – 7f 1y class 2 32Red All-Weather Fillies’ And Mares’ Championships Conditions Stakes (4yo plus) (10 runners)
As we know, the draw at Lingfield can prove to be key and the tissue odds on favourite Cold as Ice has the worst of it in 10 of 10. Volunteer Point drawn in 3 is the sporting option against the favourite.

14.10 Lingfield – 6f 1y class 2 Unibet All-Weather Sprint Championships Conditions Stakes (4yo plus) (14 runners)
Once again the draw has thrown up some potential issues here as Lancelot Du Lac is 13 of 14 and Goken, the second favourite is 1 of 14, which could be disastrous with a missed kick. Bosham once of the likely pace angles is drawn 10 so I will take a chance with the Irish raider Russian Soul who comes from off the pace and is better drawn in 8 then some of his rivals.

14.40 Lingfield – 1m 7f 169y class 2 32Red All-Weather Marathon Championships Conditions Stakes (4yo plus) (13 runners)
Over this distance the draw is less of an issue provided you can get cover from a wide draw, so we are going to ignore the draw for this race. The paper favourite Moonrise Landing is the selection and our today’s top tip. Not been seen since December 12th, where ML slammed the paper third favourite Anglophile by 4 1/2 lengths and I cannot see any reason why A should reverse the form. Of the others, I fancy the consistent if not a touch frustrating John Reel to steal a place at double figure odds.15.15 Lingfield – 1m 1y class 2 Ladbrokes All-Weather Mile Championships Conditions Stakes (4yo plus) (12 runners)
Mindurownbusiness will be very difficult to beat, although this race is very deep. Sovereign debt was very unlucky in this last year and my concern is the draw in 1 for a horse that likes to come through horses, however, Andrea Atzeni is an eye catching jockey booking.  Big Baz has a similar running style to SD and is drawn in 2 so those horses drawn 3 – 8 may be able to get a decent position early and with that in mind I will put up the sporting selection of Captain Joy each way as the days next best.

Coral Bookmakers

Back Captain Joy each way in the 15.15 Lingfield – Best odds of 16/1 with Coral

15.45 Lingfield – 1m 2f class 2 Coral Easter Classic All-Weather Middle Distance Championships Conditions Stakes (4yo plus) (10 runners)
Grendisar will be a short price for this and the Winter Derby winner deserves his place at the head of the market, however, I really like the jockey booking for Firefighting, Fran Berry and I think F can definitely bustle the favourite up.

16.15 Lingfield – 5f 6y class 2 Unibet 3 Year Old Sprint All-Weather Championships Conditions Stakes (9 runners)
Our last selection of the day runs in this and it is Gracious John. Well drawn in 2 for a horse that will hit the lids, I can see an all the way success. Wolowitz is selected to follow the selection home, although the draw in 8 will not make life easy for the Barron charge.

Recommended Betting Tip

Back Gracious John in the 16.15 Lingfield – Best odds of 13/8 with Betfred

16.45 Lingfield – 1m 1y class 2 32Red All-Weather 3 Year Old Mile Championships Conditions Stakes (9 runners)
Only qualifying for this 19 days ago, Haalick is the favourite. Not badly drawn on 1, only 9 runners, he is better placed than his 2 immediate market rivals drawn 8 and 9.
With the draw taken in mind I fancy Cape Speed to provide the biggest test to the favourite.
