Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday night in the Premier League, as the Gunners look to look to maintain their lead at the top of the league.
Liverpool suffered a 2-0 defeat at West Ham last time out in the Premier League. Winger Michail Antonio and former-Reds striker Andy Carroll scored to consign Jurgen Klopp’s men to a defeat at the Boleyn Ground.
The defeat means that the Reds are now eighth in the Premier League table and Klopp’s side are six points behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the table.
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table, with second place Leicester two points behind the Gunners in the table. Arsene Wenger’s side recorded a 1-0 victory over Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium last time out, with French defender Laurent Koscielny scoring the only goal of the game.
The side from north London rode their luck against the Magpies, but look to be showing greater resilience than in previous seasons. The Gunners are now considered by many to be favourites for the Premier League title.

Team Selection & News

Liverpool are now in the midst of a major injury crisis. Danny Ings and Joe Gomez are long-term injury absentees, but the Reds injury problems have worsened in the last week . Jurgen Klopp’s team are now without first choice defenders Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren.
They are joined on the injury list by Belgian striker Divock Origi and Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho. Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure and Jordan Henderson are also minor doubts, while striker Daniel Sturridge also looks unlikely to feature.
Arsenal’s injury list has improved of late with Chilean star Alexis Sanchez expected to feature for the Gunners after overcoming injury. The Gunners are still without Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck though.

Possible Liverpool team line-up: Mignolet, Clyne, Can, Sakho, Moreno, Leiva, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Benteke

Possible Arsenal team line-up: Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud

Liverpool v Arsenal Match Prediction

The home side have been very unpredictable this season, as they tend to take two steps forward and one back. They are still a difficult opponent at home, but have a lot of injury problems heading into this clash. I would back a narrow away win in this one.
