Liverpool claimed a very impressive 4-1 win at Manchester City last time out in the Premier League. An own goal from Eliaquim Mangala and goals from Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Martin Skrtel were enough to give the side from Merseyside the win.
The victory moved the Reds up to ninth in the Premier League table, six points behind fourth-place Arsenal in the Premier League table.
Brazilian playmaker Coutinho has hit form of late, scoring four goals in his last three appearances in the top-flight. The highly-rated attacking midfielder had scored just once in his previous ten league appearances prior to his good recent run of form.
Swansea’s poor run of form continued last time out when they had to come back from two goals down at home against struggling Bournemouth to claim a 2-2 draw. The pressure is on boss Garry Monk, as the Welsh side have won just one of their last eight Premier League games.
Monk’s side are in 14th position in the Premier League table and are desperately in need of a victory, as they are five points clear of the relegation zone.

Facts And Figures

The home side have had the better of the eight Premier League encounters between these two teams, claiming four wins. Swansea has won just once, while three games have ended in draws.
However, Liverpool has dominated proceedings at Anfield, winning three out of the four meetings with the other game resulting in a draw.
Liverpool has won five out of the last six meetings between the two sides, including the last four in the Premier League.
Swansea boss Garry Monk has suffered defeat on all four occasions that he has faced Liverpool as Swans boss.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Liverpool’s last three Premier League games.

Team Selection & News

One of Liverpool’s main injury concerns is the in-form Coutinho, who had to be substituted at City with a hamstring injury. Jurgen Klopp’s team are already without young defender Joe Gomez and striker Danny Ings through long-term injuries.
Defenders Mamadou Sakho and Jon Flanagan are likely to be joined on the sidelines by Jordan Henderson and Jordan Rossiter. Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva is suspended after picking-up his fifth booking of the season against Manchester City.
Christian Benteke could start in place of the Brazilian with James Milner moving into the centre of midfield and Roberto Firmino moving to the right wing.
The visitors boss Monk has a fully-fit squad to choose from, but former-Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey will serve a one game ban after picking-up his fifth booking of the season against Bournemouth.
Monk made a number of changes to starting eleven last time out, but the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Jefferson Montero and Bafetimbi Gomis could recalled for this difficult trip.

Possible Liverpool line-up: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Milner, Firmino, Lallana, Coutinho, Benteke

Possible Swansea line-up: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Ki, Britton, Montero, Sigurdsson, Ayew, Gomis
