Manchester City host Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
Manchester City’s dream start to the campaign has come to a grounding halt. Last time out in the Premier League the Citizens suffered a 4-1 defeat at Tottenham. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have now suffered consecutive league defeats, and have now lost three out of the last four games in all competitions.
The Citizens are now a point behind arch-rivals and league leaders Manchester United. Everybody connected with the club will be looking for their team to rediscover their early season form in this clash.
Newcastle have endured a poor start to their Premier League campaign, as the Magpies have picked-up just three points from their seven league games so far this season.
Last time out they came close to claiming their first league win of the last season, as they threw away a two goal-lead to draw 2-2 with reigning Premier League champions Chelsea at St James Park.
The performance was a much-improved one from the previous game, which saw the north east side suffer a 2-1 defeat at home to Watford. However, with City looking for a reaction to two poor performances it will difficult for the Magpies to expect a win in this one.

Manchester City vs Newcastle Match Prediction

Despite City’s recent struggles in the league, Manchester City should have the quality to defeat the side from the north east. Newcastle has struggled on their travels in recent months and it looks unlikely that their away record will improve in this one. We cannot back at the cramped odds of 2/9 so take it that Man City will win both halves at 21/20
