Manchester United hosts West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday in the Premier League looking to get back to winning ways after two frustrating results in the top-flight.
Last time the Red Devils drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, but in truth the home side had chances to win the game. Louis van Gaal’s team now sits fourth in the Premier League table, four points behind league leaders and arch-rivals Manchester City.
Consecutive blanks in front of goal will not have pleased United boss Van Gaal, but three consecutive clean sheets in the league will have.
West Brom has enjoyed a very mixed bag of results in recent weeks. Last time out they took the lead against Leicester through Salomon Rondon, only for Leicester to scored three times in reply. A late Rickie Lambert penalty was not enough to stop the Baggies from going down to a 3-2 defeat at home.
Baggies record signing Rondon has scored in consecutive matches for Tony Pulis’ side and will be hoping to make it three on the trot in this visit to Old Trafford.

Facts And Figures

Manchester United have dominated Premier League fixtures between these two teams, winning 12 of the 18 games played, with the Baggies claiming just two games and four games finishing in draws.
The Red Devils have also had the better of Premier League fixtures at Old Trafford, winning five games, West Brom have won twice and the other two games have finished in draws.
West Brom have won just two of the last ten meetings with United in all competitions, but won last time out against the Red Devils at Old Trafford in May. In fact the Baggies have won on their last two visits to United.
Manchester United has been in decent form at home of late and are unbeaten at Old Trafford in six Premier League games.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in eight of West Brom’s last nine away games in the Premier League.

Team News

The home side have a number of injury problems. Left-back Luke Shaw is a long-term casualty, but the likes of Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones and Paddy McNair are also doubts. Matteo Darmian is suspended for the clash.
In midfielder Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin are both doubts for the Red Devils, while young striker James Wilson is also doubtful.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis has close to a fully-fit squad. Goalkeeper Ben Foster remains sidelined through a knee injury and Boaz Myhill will continue to deputise. Stand-in full-back Chris Brunt has a knock, but is expected to be fit to feature. Midfielder James Morrison should be back from injury for the Baggies.

Possible Manchester United team line-up: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Herrera, Martial, Rooney

Possible West Brom team line-up: Myhill, Dawson, McAuley, Evans, Brunt, Sessegnon, Yacob, Fletcher, Morrison, Berahino, Rondon

Manchester United v West Brom Match Prediction

Manchester United have not been convincing in recent weeks and West Brom have been inconsistent, but I do think that the Red Devils with etch out a victory in this one, but it is likely to be a low scoring game. So Manchester United to win at short odds of 1/3

Our Big Match Tip

We see this being a low scoring affair so the obvious bet to go for is the under 2.5 goals market current odds are 19/20 with Corals.
