Manchester United hosts bitter North West rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League late kick-off on Saturday.
Manchester United started their campaign off in a decent manner, winning their first two Premier League games 1-0, before drawing with Newcastle and last time out suffering a 2-1 defeat at Swansea, despite taking the lead through Juan Mata.
The Red Devils were the big spenders on transfer deadline day, paying £36million for French youngster Anthony Martial, who arrived from Ligue One Monaco. The 19-year-old’s fee could rise to a staggering £54million with add-ons.
Spanish ‘keeper David de Gea saw a big money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid collapse late on in the transfer window, so may return to the United squad after being frozen out by Louis van Gaal.
One player that did leave United towards the end of the transfer window was highly-rated young Belgian playmaker Adnan Januzaj, who rather surprisingly joined German giants Dortmund on a season-long loan deal.
Liverpool are joint on points with United. The Reds also opened their campaign with two 1-0 wins, before drawing at Arsenal and last time out suffering a 3-0 home defeat against West Ham at Anfield.
To make matters worse Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho was also dismissed in the first half of the clash.
