Aston Villa’s recent struggles continued last time out, as the Villans suffered a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal at Villa Park. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring with a penalty kick, before Aaron Ramsey slotted home a second after a superb counter-attack.

Newcastle v Aston Villa Match Prediction

Newcastle’s form has turned around in recent weeks and the pressure has lifted on boss Steve McLaren after those consecutive wins. Villa produced a better second half display against Arsenal, but the Villans players seem completely bereft of confidence.
Newcastle should come out on top in this one to continue their descent up the Premier League table.
