Norwich host Everton at Carrow Road in Saturday’s Premier League early kick-off, as the home side look to pick-up a precious top-flight victory.
Norwich suffered a 2-0 defeat at Watford last time out, as the Hornets dynamic duo of Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo scored the goals to seal the victory. The defeat leaves the Canaries perilously close to the relegation zone in 15th position the table, only outside the danger zone on goal difference.
The Canaries are in desperate need of a victory in this clash, but the visitors are by no means pushovers and will likely be difficult opponents for Alex Neil’s men.
Everton drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park last time out. The Eagles looked like they were ready to claim maximum points when centre-back Scott Dann headed home, only for Romelu Lukaku to score the equaliser on his 100th appearance for the Toffees.
That goal had come after the Toffees had hit the woodwork three times, twice through Lukaku himself and once when Connor Wickham diverted a Ross Barkley free-kick onto the upright.
Everybody connected with the Toffees will feel frustrated by the draw that leaves the Merseysider’s in ninth position in the Premier League table. Roberto Martinez’s side have now drawn three out of their last four games in the top-flight.

Team Selection & News

The Canaries have a relatively fully-fit squad. On-loan West Ham winger Matthew Jarvis has a long-term injury, while attacking midfielder Wes Hoolahan is a doubt with a knee injury, which kept him out of the Watford game. First choice ’keeper John Ruddy may return to the starting line-up against his old club in place of Declan Rudd.
Everton still have few injury problems heading into this clash. Captain and England centre-back Phil Jagielka will miss out once again, as will youngster Tyias Browning. Bryan Oviedo, James McCarthy, Tony Hibbert and Steven Pienaar are all doubts.
England left-back Leighton Baines made his first Premier League appearance of the season off the bench against Palace and may well start this game in place of youngster Brendan Galloway.

Possible Norwich team line-up: Ruddy, Wisdom, Martin, Bassong, Olsson, Tettey, Howson, Redmond, Dorrans, Brady, Jerome

Possible Everton team line-up: Howard, Coleman, Stones, Funes Mori, Baines, Barry, Cleverley, Kone, Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku

Norwich v Everton Match Prediction

Norwich has struggled to collect points in recent games and this game will be a challenging one with Everton looking dangerous in attack. The Toffees have found it difficult to convert draws into wins in the last few games. However I do believe they will have enough quality to claim a win against the Canaries.
