Stoke hosts Bournemouth at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday looking for their first Premier League win of the season.
Stoke City have made a poor start to their Premier League campaign, failing to win any of their first six top-flight games and picking-up just three points this season.
Last time out they threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Leicester and ended-up drawing 2-2. The draw means that the Potters are now 18th in the Premier League table and are desperate for a top-flight victory.
A major positive from the Leicester game was the return to action of mercurial Spanish forward Bojan, who scored a superb goal on his return from injury. The former-Barcelona player had missed the back end of last season and the beginning of this season.
Bournemouth are holding their own in the Premier League after a shaky beginning to their debut campaign in the top-flight. The Cherries have now picked-up seven points this season, which is quite a respectable tally for a newly-promoted team.
Last time out the Cherries defeated Sunderland 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium, with the goals coming from Callum Wilson and Matt Ritchie in the first nine minutes of the match.
Wilson’s goal was his fifth in just six Premier League appearances this season. The former-Coventry man has certainly carried on where he left off in the Championship last season.
The win against Sunderland was a historic one, as it saw the Cherries first ever clean sheet in the English top-flight.

Facts And Figures

These two sides have never met in the Premier League and in fact have only ever met once in any competition. That meeting came in the 2003 FA Cup fourth round, when Stoke claimed a 3-0 win at the Britannia Stadium.
Bournemouth have only ever kept one clean sheet in the top-flight of English football, but that came in their last game a 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Team News

The home side are still without influential centre-back Ryan Shawcross, who has a long-term back injury. Senegalese striker Biram Mame Diouf missed the Leicester game through injury and is again a doubt for this one.
The visitors have some injury problems of their own. Summer signings full-back Tyrone Mings and winger Max Gradel have long-term injuries, while midfielder Harry Arter and centre-back Tommy Elphick are doubts for the clash.
Boss Eddie Howe may stick with the team that brought the Cherries three points against Sunderland last time out.

Possible Stoke City line-up: Butland, Johnson, Cameron, Wilson, Pieters, Whelan, Van Ginkel, Shaqiri, Bojan, Arnautovic, Walters

Possible Bournemouth line-up: Boruc, Francis, Cook, Distin, Daniels, Ritchie, Surman, Gosling, Pugh, Tomlin, Wilson

Stoke City vs Bournemouth Match Prediction

This game is so hard to predict, as Bournemouth have performed admirably at times this season and Stoke have underachieved. However, the Potters are usually strong at home, so this will be a tough game for the visitors.
The Cherries are a resilient outfit though and I believe they may just achieve a draw at the Britannia to continue the Potters frustrating start to the season.

Our Big Match Tip

This Premier League clash will probably end up as a low scoring affair with this in mind look at backing the 1-1 draw.
