Stoke host Manchester City at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League’s early kick-off on Saturday, as the visitors look to stretch their lead at the top of the table.
Stoke have been inconsistent this season and last time out suffered a 2-0 defeat at struggling Sunderland. To add to the defeat centre-back Ryan Shawcross was shown a red card after two yellow cards.
The defeat means that Stoke are now 12th position in the Premier League table, having picked-up 19 points so far this season. The Potters have been relatively resolute this season and the centre-back will serve his one-game ban in the midweek Capital One Cup quarter-final.
Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table last weekend courtesy of a 3-1 home victory over Southampton. Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Fabian Delph and Aleksandar Kolarov were enough to secure maximum points for the Citizens.
De Bruyne has now scored four times and produced six assists in his ten Premier League appearances since his big money summer arrival from Wolfsburg.

Full-back Pablo Zabaleta and centre-back Eliaquim Mangala are also major doubts for the fixture. Spanish midfielder David Silva returned from injury from the bench last time out and could start this clash with Fernando possibly missing out.

Stoke v Manchester City Match Prediction

Manchester City has the quality to break down Stoke’s solid defensive unit and that is what I expect to happen. The home side have struggled to score goals and I expect City to claim maximum points in the Potteries.
