Stoke host Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League early kick-off on Boxing Day, with both teams looking for a return to winning ways.
Stoke suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Crystal Palace last time out. The Eagles took the lead late in the first half through a Connor Wickham penalty kick. Stoke’s equaliser also came from the penalty spot, as Bojan levelled the scores on 76 minutes.
However, Palace scored the winner on 88 minutes through South Korean winger Chung-Yong Lee to give the Eagles the win. The defeat means the Potters have won just one of their last four Premier League games and are currently 11th position in the table.
Manchester United suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home against Norwich last time out. The Canaries took the lead in the first half through a Cameron Jerome effort, before Alex Tettey doubled their lead early in the second half.
The Red Devils got a goal back midway through the second half through Anthony Martial, but the goal was just a consolation as Louis van Gaal’s team suffered a consecutive defeat. It means the Red Devils have now gone four Premier League games without a win and have dropped to fifth position in the top-flight table.

Stoke v Manchester United Match Prediction

Stoke are strong at home and I believe they will have enough quality to trouble a United team that is struggling for confidence. The Potters will be looking for a response to defeat last time out against Crystal Palace and I think they will get it with a home win.
