Stoke City hosts in-form Leicester City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, as the Potters look for their first Premier League victory of the season.
The home side will kick-off this clash in 19th position in the Premier League, after picking-up just two points from their first five league games of the season. The Potters suffered a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal last time out.
However, the defeat could have been far heavier if it were not for a superb display from Potters ‘keeper Jack Butland, who made ten saves to keep the score respectable. The youngster has been in impressive form this season, after replacing Asmir Begovic as the Potters number one this season.
Leicester came back from two goals down to defeat Midlands rivals Aston Villa to win 3-2 at the King Power Stadium last time out, with Algerian playmaker Riyad Mahrez involved in three of the Foxes goals, producing two assists.
Mahrez has now scored four times and collected two assists in the Premier League this season, after finishing last season with a flourish.
Leicester have enjoyed a superb start to the campaign and currently sit second in the Premier League table, after picking up 11 points from a possible 15 this season. Claudio Ranieri’s team are defying the predictions that the Midlanders would be involved at the bottom of the table.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met just twice in the history of the Premier League and have claimed a victory apiece.
The only time these two teams have met at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League was last season, when the Foxes recorded a 1-0 away win.
That victory was only Leicester’s only win against the Potters in the last six competitive games in all competitions.
However, the Foxes are nine games unbeaten in the Premier League.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has a decent record against the Foxes, having won three and lost one of the four games he has come up against the Midlanders.

Team News

The home side are without injured centre-back Ryan Shawcross and suspended midfield pair Ibrahim Afellay and Charlie Adam. Glen Johnson, Peter Odemwingie and Jonathan Walters are all doubts for the Potters.
Johnson may return in place of Phil Bardsley if he recovers, while Spaniard Bojan may replace compatriot Joselu in attack.
The visitors are likely to name an unchanged team from the victory over Aston Villa last time out. The Foxes only enforced absence is midfielder Matthew James.

Possible Stoke City line-up: Butland, Johnson, Cameron, Muniesa, Pieters, Whelan, Van Ginkel, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Bojan, Diouf

Possible Leicester line-up: Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Huth, Schlupp, Inler, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Albrighton, Vardy, Okazaki

Stoke vs Leicester Prediction

Stoke are desperately in need of picking-up points and I think they may just have enough to claim a draw against the in-form Foxes. Claudio Ranieri’s side are in great form at the moment and could be a big task for the Potters to claim their first win of the season.
Leicester to win against Stoke are a generous 19/10 with William Hill’s.

Our Big Match Tip
