Swansea will play Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, as the hosts seek one more win to secure their Premier League status.

Swansea produced a good comeback from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Stoke last time out in the Premier League. The Potters established a two goals lead through strikes from Ibrahim Afellay and Bojan, before second half goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alberto Paloschi secured a point for the Swans.

The draw means that the Welsh side are now 15th in the Premier League table and ten points clear of the relegation zone. Francesco Guidolin’s side look safe, but one more win should secure their top-flight status for next season.

One real positive for Swansea this season has been the form of Icelandic international attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who has now scored ten times in the Premier League and produced three assists. The former-Spurs star has scored three times in his last four top-flight appearances.

Chelsea eased to a 4-0 win at rock-bottom Aston Villa last time out in the Premier League. Pedro grabbed a double, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alexandre Pato both scored their first goals for the Blues.

The reigning Premier League champions are tenth in the Premier League table and ten points behind fourth-place and the last Champions League spot.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met on nine occasions in the Premier League, with Chelsea recording six wins and the other three games have been drawn.

The four Premier League games played at the Liberty Stadium have seen Chelsea win twice and two games have finished in draws.

Chelsea have won five out of the last six meetings in all competitions, but the exception was the reverse fixture earlier this season which ended 2-2.

Swansea have only won one of the last 11 meetings in all competitions.

Chelsea are now unbeaten in 15 Premier League games, but the Blues have won just seven of those games.

Guus Hiddink’s side have been prolific in front of goal in recent Premier League games and the Blues have scored two or more goals in five out of the last six league games.

Team Selection And News

The side still have a doubt over the fitness of Ghana international Andre Ayew, who is struggling with an ankle problem. The Welsh side may start this game with the same eleven that began the game against Stoke last time out, although Neil Taylor could come back at left-back.

The visitors will be without centre-back Kurt Zouma and striker Loic Remy through injury, while Spanish striker Diego Costa is suspended. The Blues also have doubts over the fitness of Gary Cahill, John Terry, Willian and Eden Hazard. Alexandre Pato is likely to start in Remy’s absence.

Possible Swansea Team Selection

Fabianski, Rangel, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Cork, Britton, Fer, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Gomis

Possible Chelsea Team Selection

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Miazga, Rahman, Mikel, Fabregas, Pedro, Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Pato

Match Prediction

Swansea have shown far more fighting spirit in recent games in top-flight, but Chelsea seem to have hit a spot of form. I can see this game being a close one and finishing in a draw.]
