Swansea hosts high flying Leicester at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, as the home side look to halt a poor run of form in the top-flight.
The home sides poor run of form in the Premier League continued last time out, as the Welsh side suffered a 1-0 defeat at Liverpool, with James Milner scoring the only goal of the game.
Swans boss Garry Monk is now under increased pressure to turn things around with the Welsh side 15th in the Premier League table, just four points clear of the relegation zone and facing a Leicester team that has looked impressive so far this season.
Leicester drew 1-1 with Manchester United at the King Power Stadium last time out in the league. England striker Jamie Vardy scored the Foxes goal which meant that he has now scored in a record eleven consecutive Premier League games.
The red hot striker has now scored 14 goals in as many appearances and currently tops the goal scoring charts.
Saturday’s draw with United meant that the Foxes dropped down to second in the Premier League table. However they will be looking at this game as a chance to get straight back to winning ways.

Facts And Figures

There have only ever been two Premier League meetings between these two sides, which came last season. Both teams claim a win apiece.
The only game played between the two teams in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium finished in a 2-0 Swansea win.
The two teams have only ever met seven times in all competitions, with Leicester claiming four wins and Swansea collecting three victories. All three Swans wins have come on home soil.
Swansea has won just one of their last ten Premier League games and that win came against rock-bottom Aston Villa.
Leicester are unbeaten in their last ten away games in the Premier League. The Foxes have also scored two or more goals in their last five away games in the top-flight.
Due to Leicester’s effectiveness in front of goal there have been over 2.5 goals in the Foxes last five away games in the Premier League.

Team Selection & News

Swans boss Garry Monk should have a fully-fit squad to choose from for this encounter. The likes of Jefferson Montero, Bafetimbi Gomis and Federico Fernandez could be recalled after being left out the starting line-up in recent weeks.
Leicester is still without Matthew James, as the midfielder has a knee injury. On-loan winger Nathan Dyer is eligible to face his parent club. Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri may choose to name an unchanged team from last time out.

Possible Swansea team line-up: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Shelvey, Ki, Montero, Sigurdsson, Ayew, Gomis

Possible Leicester team line-up: Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Vardy, Okazaki

Swansea v Leicester Match Prediction

The contrasts in these two teams form could not be greater. Swansea are in dire form and Leicester have been highly consistent in the top-flight this season. However for some unknown reason I have a feeling that Swans may just grab a draw from this encounter, but they will have to stop the in-form Vardy if they want to take anything from the game.
