Betting Tips And Odds For The Barclays FedExCup Playoff

With the regular season over on the PGA Tour we move in to the exciting four round playoffs known as the FEDEXCUP Championship. Jordan Spieth leads the FedEx rankings on 4169 points with Jason Day sitting second over 1,700 points behind. Luckily for Day the points are reset and any of the 125 players that have made the playoffs still feasibly have a chance of winning the $10,000,000 bonus at the end of The Tour Championship. Last year Billy Horscell came from the clouds to win the bonus. Finsing 2nd in the Deutsche Bank Championship He then went on to win the last two events, The BMW Championship and The Tour Championship to signal a truly remarkable comeback that is never likely to be repeated.
As usual the FEDEX Cup starts with The Barclays at Plainfield CC, Edison, NJ. With prize money off$8,250,000 to be won there are certainly riches to be won. But it’s not about the money this week, it is all about making it through to the following tournament Deutsche Bank Championship. Players will need to be in the top 100 to make it though. So we will lose 25 players after the Barclays.

The Barclays Golf Tips
So who will win The Barclays this week, well let us have a look at the key players. Starting with Jordan Spieth, the model of consistency throughout the year. Where he has picked up two majors and high finishes in the other two. The Masters and US Open Champion will look to finish off a stellar year by becoming The FEDEX CUP Champion. He is in pole position to do so.
Jordan Spieths odds to win the Barclays is 6/1 with Skybet

Right behind him comes Jason Day, who himself has had a fantastic year, he too has won a major in the US PGA Championship and is arguably the most consistent golfer on the tour at this time. With only Spieth possibly better.
We see Jason Day going all the way and topping the FEDEX CUP in the next few weeks.
If you fancy Jason Day to win the Barclays you can get odds of 11/1 at Corals.

The one player who could spoil the party for the overall prize is Justin Rose who put in a brave effort in the US PGA and has come in to form at the right time of the year. With that in mind Justin would be our pick to win The Barclays this week.
Justin Rose is a top priced 12/1 at Skybet to win.

Last years winner Hunter Mahan is available at a general 150/1. But he is certainly not in the same form. So we would advise steering clear for now.

We all know that with such big fields, shocks are on the card and with that in mind we shall have a look at a couple that are worth backing at big each way odds.

Firstly David Hearn, now how many times have we seen his name at the top of the leader board only to just come up short. Well we are going to have a bet on him at odds of 200/1 with Corals, just for place value alone. Although if his putter just gets going!!!

Next we are going to have a look at Charles Howell III, still one of the best ball strikers on tour another that if the putter get half hot will see him challenge and we are having a bet at Skybet at odds of 200/1
