Tottenham and Everton clash at White Hart Lane in the Premier League late kick-off on Saturday, with the home side looking for their first league win of the season.
Tottenham have endured a slow start to their Premier League campaign, having lost one and drew two of their three games so far in the top-flight this season. Last time out Mauricio Pochettino’s side drew 1-1 at in-form Leicester.
Spurs took the lead on 81 minutes through youngster Dele Alli, only for in-form Riyad Mahrez to equalise just a minute later. Despite having not won yet this season, Spurs will be confident of victory over an Everton side that has only won one out of the last six meetings between the two sides.
Everton have enjoyed a rather mixed start to their campaign drawing their opening game against Watford before hammering Southampton 3-0 at St Marys. However, the Toffees were not at their best in their last Premier League game as title hopefuls Manchester City won 2-0 at Goodison Park.
It was not a terrible performance from the Merseysider’s, but Roberto Martinez’s side did produce a rather lacklustre display against a very good Manchester City team. The Toffees tend to perform better when they are away from home and have scored two or more in their last three games on their travels, but White Hart Lane is a bogey ground for the Toffees.

Facts And Figures

Tottenham have a very good head-to-head Premier League record against the Toffees, having won 22 of the 46 Premier League meetings.
Everton have won on just eight occasions and 16 games have resulted in draws.
Spurs also have the better head-to-head record at White Hart Lane, winning 14 times, as Everton have claimed just three wins and six games have finished in draws.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez has had a difficult time against Tottenham as well, losing on seven of the 12 occasions he has faced Spurs and winning just twice.
Tottenham have scored two or more goals in eight of their last ten Premier League home games.

Tottenham v Everton Team News

The home side have doubts over the fitness of winger Andros Townsend and playmaker Christian Eriksen who are carrying knocks. Dele Alli may be rewarded with a start in this game after scoring against Everton. Erik Lamela is unlikely to play with speculation he is set to move to Italian giants Inter.
Everton have a host of injury problems. Left-backs Leighton Baines and Brendan Galloway are joined on the sidelines by midfielders Darron Gibson and Steven Pienaar. Toffees boss Martinez may decide to shake things up, with Steven Naismith, Kevin Mirallas and Gerard Deulofeu all pushing for a start. Costa Rican Bryan Oviedo is likely to start at left-back for the Toffees.

Possible Tottenham line-up: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Mason, Dembele, Alli, Chadli, Kane

Possible Everton line-up: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Stones, Oviedo, Barry, McCarthy, Kone, Barkley, Cleverley, Lukaku

Tottenham v Everton Prediction

Tottenham have started the season in poor fashion, but Everton are so unpredictable. For me Spurs may just shade this clash by a goal. Spurs record at home and Everton scoring record away from home suggests there could be goals though. If you are looking for alternative bet then over 2.5 goals looks like a reasonable punt in this clash.

Our Big Match Tip

Our big match tip on the Premier League clash between Tottenham and Everton is to back over 2.5 goals. Current odds are 4/5.
