Tottenham hosts Norwich at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day in the Premier League, as both teams look to build on wins last time out.
Tottenham recorded a 2-0 win at Southampton last time out, as Harry Kane and Dele Alli scored the goals to move Mauricio Pochettino’s team into the top four of the Premier League table, above Manchester United on goal difference.
Tottenham have been highly inconsistent in recent weeks though, winning twice, drawing three times and losing once in their last six top-flight games. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for his team to find some form starting with this clash.
Norwich also recorded a victory last time out with an excellent 2-1 win at Manchester United. The Canaries took the lead in the first half through a Cameron Jerome strike. Alex Neil’s team doubled their lead early in the second half through an effort from defensive midfielder Alex Tettey.
The Red Devils got a goal back half way through the second half through a goal from French international striker Anthony Martial, but it proved nothing more than a consolation goal for United. The unexpected win should lift the spirits at the Norfolk club.
The win moved Norwich up to 16th position in the Premier League table. The Canaries are now two points clear of the relegation zone, after starting last weekend inside the drop zone.

Recommended Betting Tip
Harry Kane is still the focal point of Tottenham’s goals so look at backing him to score first against Norwich. We are going with Betfred’s 11/4 a slightly smaller price but we have a sneaky feeling that Kane will score more than one. Facts And Figures

Tottenham have enjoyed the better of the 14 Premier League meetings between these two sides, recording seven wins. The Canaries have claimed three wins, while four games have resulted in draws.
The Premier League record at White Hart Lane in Premier League meetings is quite even, with Spurs winning three times, Norwich winning twice and two games being drawn.
Tottenham have won just one out of the last six meetings between these two sides in all competitions. However, that win came the last time these two teams met at White Hart Lane in 2013.
Tottenham have lost just one of their last 16 Premier League matches. However that loss came in their last home game in the top-flight against Newcastle.

Team Selection & News

The home side are without young midfielder Alex Pritchard and striker Clinton N’Jie, who have ankle and knee injuries respectably. The north London side also have doubts over the fitness of full-back Danny Rose and central midfielder Ryan Mason.
The visitors have doubts over the fitness of on-loan full-back Andre Wisdom and winger Matthew Jarvis. The Canaries boss Alex Neil may choose to name an unchanged team from the one that won at United last time out.

Possible Tottenham team line-up: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Kane

Possible Norwich team line-up: Rudd, Martin, Bassong, Bennett, Olsson, Tettey, O’Neil, Redmond, Hoolahan, Brady, Jerome

Tottenham v Norwich Match Prediction

Tottenham have a habit of slipping-up at home against struggling teams, but that win last time out should ensure confidence is high amongst the Spurs players and I think they will have too much quality for the Norfolk visitors.
