Watford host Arsenal at Vicarage Road on Saturday in the Premier League, as both teams look for their first Premier League win of the campaign. Watford lost against Chelsea last time out and are underdogs to win this clash at . The Hornets suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Chelsea last time out in the Premier League. Walter Mazzarri’s side took the lead early in the second half through Etienne Capoue, but goals in the last ten minutes from Michy Batshuayi and Diego Costa secured a successive last-gasp win for the Blues. The Hornets have won just two of their last 14 Premier League games and failed to win any of the last five outings in the top-flight.  French midfielder Capoue has started the season in fine form, though, scoring in both the Hornets games so far, having never previously scored for the club.

Watford have a poor record against Arsenal, as they have lost all six Premier League meetings. However, the Hornets did defeat the Gunners 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the FA Cup quarter-final last season. Their last victory over the Gunners prior to that was in the old First Division back in 1988, which came in a 1-0 win at Highbury.

Arsenal have endured a disappointing start to their Premier League campaign but are favourites to win this clash at odds of 3/4 with Paddypower.  The Gunners followed up their opening game 4-3 defeat against Liverpool with a goalless draw at champions Leicester on Saturday evening. Neither side looked to have a cutting edge in front goal, but a positive for the Gunners was a more solid defensive display after that poor display in their league game of the campaign. Arsene Wenger’s side positive record and the Hornets mixed start to their Premier League campaign will lead the Gunners to be confident of a first win of the campaign. However, the north London side’s recent away record in the Premier League is not great, as they have drawn their last four games on their travels and won just one of their last seven away games.

Team News:
The Hornets are without defender Brice Dja Djedje, who has been ruled out through injury, while big money signing Isaac Success is a doubt, having not yet featured for Mazzarri’s side. Arsenal are still without defenders Gabriel and Per Mertesacker, along with Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi and forward Danny Welbeck. Germany playmaker Mesut Ozil and French forward Olivier Giroud may return to the starting eleven after substitute appearances last time out.

Possible Watford team line-up: Gomes, Cathcart, Prodl, Britos, Behrami, Capoue, Guedioura, Amrabat, Holebas, Deeney, Ighalo
Possible Arsenal team line-up: Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Holding, Monreal, Xhaka, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud

Betting Tip:
Neither side has started the season in sparkling form, so neither team’s confidence will be great heading into this clash. However, for Arsenal, the likes of Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are now closer to full fitness and I can see the Gunners shading this clash.
