Watford claimed a 3-2 win at beleaguered Aston Villa last time out, with strike-partnership Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney both grabbing a goal each in the win. Quique Sanchez Flores team are now 11th in the Premier League and the win over Villa ended a two-game losing run for the Hornets.
Watford’s front two have hit form in recent weeks. In the last five games Ighalo has scored three times and produced four assists. In the same period Deeney has scored four goals and collected one assist.
Norwich drew 1-1 with Arsenal last time out, as Lewis Grabban scored the Canaries goal to seal a point against the Gunners. Alex Neil’s side have been involved in a lot of tight games of late, but have suffered four defeats in their last six top-flight games.
The Canaries recent patchy form has left the side from Norfolk in 16th position in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Facts And Figures

Competitive meetings between these two teams have been very equal. The two have never met in the Premier League, but in other competitions Norwich have collected 12 wins, Watford has claimed ten wins and five games have finished in draws.
At Vicarage Road the record is exactly equal, as both teams have claimed a win each and four games have been drawn.
The Hornets have won just one of the last six meetings between the two teams.
Norwich has lost their last three games in their travels in the Premier League.
There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Norwich’s last three Premier League games.
In contrast there have been over 2.5 goals scored in Watford’s last three top-flight games and the Hornets have also conceded two or more goals in their last three top-flight games.

Team Selection & News

The Hornets have a few injury problems heading into this clash. Defenders Tommie Hoban, Sebastian Prodl and Joel Ekstrand are all sidelined through injury.
Their biggest injury worry is ‘keeper Heurelho Gomes, who picked-up a neck injury in the win at Villa. He was taken to hospital, but was given the all-clear so he could feature in this one. Swiss midfielder Valon Behrami is also a doubt.
On-loan West Ham winger Matthew Jarvis will miss out with a knee injury, while central midfielder Emmanuel Tettey is also a doubt with a thigh problem. The Canaries could start with an unchanged line-up from the Arsenal draw.

Possible Watford team line-up: Gomes, Nyom, Cathcart, Britos, Ake, Jurado, Watson, Capoue, Abdi, Deeney, Ighalo

Possible Norwich team line-up: Ruddy, Wisdom, Bennett, Bassong, Olsson, Dorrans, O’Neil, Howson, Hoolahan, Brady, Grabban

Watford v Norwich Match Prediction

The Hornets look to have found their feet in the Premier League and should be difficult opponents for their fellow promoted side. Norwich have not been terrible in their last few league games, but they are struggling to pick up wins and I think the Hornets may just claim maximum points in this clash.
