Kick Off – 15.00pm Saturday 23rd January 2016

West Brom hosts Aston Villa at the Hawthorns in a Midlands Premier League derby on Saturday, as both teams look to get back to winning ways.
West Brom suffered a 3-0 defeat at Southampton last time out, as James Ward-Prowse scored twice and Dusan Tadic also got on the scoresheet. The Baggies are now 13th in the top-flight, but will be looking to get back to winning ways.
The Baggies have been inconsistent this season and they have now failed to win in their last two top-flight games, after consecutive wins.
Aston Villa drew 1-1 with high-flying Midlands neighbours Leicester at Villa Park. Leicester took the lead through Shinji Okazaki, before Riyad Mahrez missed a penalty kick. However, former-Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede equalised in the second half.
Villa remains bottom of the Premier League table, but are now unbeaten in two Premier League games. The Villans performances have improved since the Frenchman’s arrival.

Recommended Betting Tip
A 1-1 scoreline looks a safe bet with both teams unlikely to score many. Bet365 go 6/1 for 1-1.

Team Selection & News

The Baggies only really injury doubts come in midfield, where Scottish international James Morrison has a hamstring injury and will miss out, while international teammate Darren Fletcher has a knee injury, but could still feature in this clash. England international ‘keeper Ben Foster may start in place of Boaz Myhill in goal.
Villa have a few more injury problems than their neighbours heading into this clash. Full-back Jordan Amavi is a long-term absentee with a knee injury, while winger Adama Traore will be out of action until March with a foot injury.
Remi Garde also has doubts about the fitness of full-back Alan Hutton, midfielders Carlos Sanchez and Jack Grealish and also striker Gabriel Agbonlahor. Garde may name an unchanged line-up from last time out against Leicester.

Possible West Brom team line-up: Foster, Dawson, Evans, McAuley, Brunt, Sessegnon, Yacob, Gardner, McClean, Anichebe, Rondon

Possible Aston Villa team line-up: Bunn, Bacuna, Okore, Lescott, Cissokho, Veretout, Gueye, Westwood, Gil, Ayew, Kozak

West Brom v Aston Villa Match Prediction

Both of these teams have struggled for form in recent games, although Villa’s form has been better in their last two games. West Brom are decent at home, but have been poor in front of goal. This could be a very low scoring draw for me.

Recommended Betting Tip
The draw looks the best option for two teams down the bottom of the table. Best odds are 12/5 at Betfred
