West Brom host Manchester United at the Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, as the visitors look to continue their recent revival in the Midlands.

The Baggies picked-up a 2-2 draw at Leicester on Tuesday night. Tony Pulis’ side took the lead through Salomon Rondon, before the Foxes took a 2-1 lead. However, Craig Gardner equalised in the second half to earn the Baggies a draw.

West Brom are now 13th in the Premier League table and are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games. Pulis’ side are now eight points clear of the relegation zone. Striker Rondon has scored three goals in his last five top-flight appearances.

The visitors are hit form in recent games and have recovered consecutive wins in the Premier League after winning 1-0 against Watford at Old Trafford last time out. The Red Devils left it late, but Spanish midfielder Juan Mata scored the winner with a free-kick on 83 minutes.

The win moved United level on points with arch-rivals Manchester City, who currently occupy fourth-spot. The fact that the Red Devils have now won four games on the trot in all competitions seems to have alleviated the pressure on United boss Louis van Gaal.

Facts And Figures

The 19 Premier League meetings between these two teams have seen Manchester United record 13 wins, four games have been drawn, while West Brom have won just twice.

The nine Premier League meetings at the Hawthorns have been dominated by United, who have recorded seven wins and two games have finished in draws.

West Brom have won two of the last ten meetings between these two teams in all competitions, but both of those wins have come at Old Trafford.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has an awful record against United. Having faced United on 13 occasions, the Welsh boss has recorded just one win and one draw, losing on 11 occasions.

West Ham are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games at the Hawthorns.

Team Selection And News

West Brom’s main injury problems lie in midfield where James Morrison, Callum McManaman and Chris Brunt are all ruled out injured. Argentinian midfielder Claudio Yacob is suspended and Jonny Evans is also a doubt.

Manchester United’s injury crisis continues, as Wayne Rooney, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all out through injury. Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Cameron Jackson-Borthwick, Marouane Fellaini and Will Keane are all doubts. Anthony Martial could return up front in place of youngster Marcus Rashford.

Possible West Brom Team Selection

Foster, Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Chester, Fletcher, Gardner, Berahino, Sessegnon, McClean, Rondon

Possible Manchester United Team Selection

De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Rojo, Carrick, Schneiderlin, Lingard, Mata, Depay, Martial

Match Prediction

West Brom recorded an unexpected draw at league leaders Leicester last time out and their form has improved of late. United’s form has improved of late as well, but they have not been overly convincing and I can see this game finishing in a draw.
