West Ham will play at the London Stadium for the first time in the Premier League on Sunday, as the Hammers play hosts to Bournemouth. West Ham kicked off their campaign with a late defeat at Chelsea but are favourites at  to win this clash. The Hammers suffered a last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Chelsea in their opening Premier League game of the campaign. Eden Hazard opened the scoring for the Blues before James Collins equalised in the last 15 minutes for the visitors. Just as it looked like Slaven Bilic’s side had earned a draw at their rivals, Spanish striker Diego Costa fired home with just a minute left on the clock. Despite the defeat, it was a decent performance from Bilic’s men and they will be confident of collecting a victory in their first-ever home game at the London Stadium. Bilic’s side will hope that they have as good a record in their new home as at the Boleyn Ground, where the Irons had suffered just one defeat in their last 16 Premier League matches.

The Hammers have only met the Cherries just twice in the Premier League with both meetings coming last season. The game at the Boleyn Ground finished with a Bournemouth 4-3 win, while the Irons won 3-1 at Dean Court in the reverse fixture. In all competitions the two teams have met just seven times, West Ham recording four wins, two games finishing in a draw and Bournemouth winning once, which was the aforementioned win at the Boleyn Ground last season.

Bournemouth kicked off their Premier League campaign with a home defeat against Manchester United and also underdogs to win this at odds of 7/2 with Paddypower. A home game against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United was always going to be difficult and it proved so as the Cherries went down 3-1 against the Red Devils. United established a three-goal lead through efforts from Juan Mata, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney before full-back Adam Smith scored what turned out to be a consolation goal. Bournemouth’s away form was decent last season, but towards the end of the campaign, the Cherries struggled for results on their travels, suffering three defeats from their last four away games in the top-flight. However, they will look to last season’s win at West Ham, albeit on a different ground, as inspiration for a first league win of the campaign in this clash.

West Ham v Bournemouth team news
The Hammers head into this clash without full-back Aaron Cresswell through long-term injury. French playmaker Dmitri Payet is likely to start having come off the bench against Chelsea and could replace Andre Ayew, who picked up an injury against the Blues. Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho are both expected to miss once again through injury. The Cherries are without winger Junior Stanislas through injury, while full-back Tyrone Mings is expected to miss out through injury as well. New signing Marc Wilson could make his debut.

Possible West Ham team line-up: Adrian, Antonio, Collins, Reid, Masuaku, Nordtveit, Noble, Kouyate, Valencia, Payet, Carroll
Possible Bournemouth team line-up: Boruc, Smith, Francis, S. Cook, Daniels, Surman, L. Cook, Arter, Ibe, Gradel, C. Wilson

Betting Tip
I have to side with a West Ham win in this clash. The Hammers looked in decent shape against Chelsea and I am expecting Bilic’s team to add to Bournemouth’s woes.
