Unpredictable West Ham hosts Newcastle at the Boleyn Ground on Monday night in the Premier League.
West Ham have enjoyed a strange start to their Premier League campaign. The Hammers have suffered home defeats against Leicester and Bournemouth, but claimed wins at Arsenal and Liverpool.
Last time out, the Irons claimed an impressive 3-0 victory over Liverpool, as the Reds were reduced to ten men in the first half following the sending-off of Philippe Coutinho. The win was a good one, but Slaven Bilic’s team needs to start performing at the Boleyn Ground.
The Hammers will definitely be looking to pick-up a least their first home point of the season, as struggling Newcastle come to visit.
Bilic was busy in the transfer market on deadline day, snapping up striker Nikica Jelavic, midfielder Alex Song and winger Michail Antonio.
Newcastle have picked-up just two points so far this season, having failed to win any of their Premier League games so far this season.
Last time out the Magpies suffered a 1-0 home defeat against Arsenal, after young striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was dismissed after just 16 minutes. It was always going to be an uphill struggle from there, with an own goal from Fabricio Coloccini enough to seal a win for the visitors.
Mitrovic’s dismissal was the Magpies second of the season in just four top-flight games and boss Steve McClaren will be hoping his team can keep their full complement on the pitch in this clash.

Facts And Figures

These two teams have met 36 times in the Premier League, with Newcastle coming out on top on 16 occasions, West Ham winning ten times and ten matches finishing in a draw.
The Premier League head-to-head at the Boleyn Ground is equal, as both teams have won seven games and four games have been drawn.
West Ham have won just one of the last six meetings between these two teams in all competitions.
The Hammers have also lost their last three home games in the Premier League.
The fact that Newcastle have won just one of their last 15 top-flight games will be encouraging for the Hammers. However, that one victory came against the Irons in the final game of last season.
Newcastle have been poor in attack on their travels, failing to score in seven of their last eight away games in the Premier League.

Team News

West Ham are without suspended ‘keeper Adrian, while Enner Valencia and Alex Song have been ruled out through injury. The Hammers also have doubts over Andy Carroll, Andy O’Brien, Victor Moses and Mauro Zarate.
The visitors are without injured French duo Sylvain Marveaux and Emmanuel Riviere, while Serbian international Mitrovic is suspended following that red card against Arsenal last time out.

Possible West Ham line-up: Randolph, Tomkins, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Obiang, Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini, Payet, Sakho

Possible Newcastle line-up: Krul, Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Haidara, Anita, Colback, Sissoko, Wijnaldum, Thauvin, Perez
