West Ham hosts Norwich at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday in the Premier League, as the home side look to continue their highly promising start to the campaign.
Last weekend saw West Ham secure another superb away win, as the Hammers defeated high-flying Manchester City 2-1 with goals from Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho enough to collect maximum points. The win moved the Hammers up to second in the Premier League table temporarily.
Slaven Bilic’s side are now third in the table and just three points behind the Premier League leaders. The victory against City was the Hammers third consecutive win in the Premier League and also their third consecutive away win.
Despite their good start to the campaign, Bilic’s side have been disappointing at home this season, having suffered defeats against Leicester and Bournemouth at the Boleyn Ground.
Last time out Norwich claimed a very creditable 1-1 draw at Liverpool with centre-back Russell Martin finding the net for the third time this season, after Danny Ings had given the Merseysider’s the lead early in the second half. The draw leaves the Canaries on nine points and comfortably in midtable in the top-flight.
However, the side from Norfolk have won just once in their last 14 away games in the Premier League stretching back to their last spell in the top-flight.
This seasons Canaries team looks stronger than the team that were relegated in 2014 and Alex Neil will be confident that his side’s away fortunes will improve in the near future. Unfortunately for the Canaries it seems unlikely that Norwich’s away fortunes will improve at the Boleyn.

Team News

The home side have a few injury problems going into this clash. Defender Angelo Ogbonna, midfielder Alex Song and striker Enner Valencia are all out injured. Full-backs Joey O’Brien and Carl Jenkinson are also doubts.
Midfielder Cheick Kouyate should feature though after missing out last time out. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic may name an unchanged starting line-up for this clash after victory at City though.
The visitors are without injured midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu and striker Gary Hooper, while on-loan winger Matt Jarvis is ineligible to face his parent club. Wes Hoolahan may come in to replace Jarvis.

West Ham vs Norwich Match Prediction

The home side are in good form and are looking strong, but have won just one of their three home games so far this season. However that record should improve against a stubborn Norwich team, but it is unlikely to be a comfortable victory.
